About Me:

Viken Douzdjian, MD, is the Surgical Director of Transplantation, Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland and Medical Director, Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank. Dr. Douzdjian received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, where he also completed his residency in General Surgery. He completed his Multiorgan Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He is board certified in General Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and American Society of Transplantation. He sits on national committees with the United Network for Organ Sharing, which regulates the field of transplantation. Dr. Douzdjian has been nationally recognized for his work in organ transplants by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
