Grief Support Groups
The grief from losing a loved one can be all-consuming and isolating. We want to assure you that you are not alone. There are numerous national and local support groups who have people ready to provide you with resources and to just be that person to listen when needed.
- The Dougy Center in Portland offers families numerous resources to families grieving a death
- Brief Encounters is also in Portland and provides support, support groups and resources for parents grieving a pregnancy or infant
- The Compassionate Friends connect grieving families to support groups as well as resources
Crisis Support
The burden of losing a loved one is immense and can often lead a person to a very dark place. We strongly encourage anyone who is experiencing a mental health crisis to reach out for help. Below you will find several resources where people are willing and ready to help.
