Child Abuse Assessment
Resources for the most vulnerable
It is a situation no one wants to face, but if you are concerned about child abuse, you should know that compassionate, discrete and knowledgeable services are available through The Child Abuse Assessment Team (CAAT) at Legacy Salmon Creek in Vancouver, WA and our partner Child Abuse Response and Evaluation Services (CARES) Northwest on the Legacy Emanuel campus in Portland.
Our specialists provide evaluations for neglect, physical abuse and sexual abuse in a clinic environment. Care teams typically consist of a board-certified pediatric emergency physician, a medical assistant, a medical social worker and a program manager, all of whom are skilled in helping children who may be victims of abuse.
Emergency medical treatment or hospitalization is available at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver and Randall Children's Hospital in Portland, as well as with CARES Northwest.
Compassionate help is a phone call away.
