Legacy Health foundation boards announce new trustees

PORTLAND, Ore. (Nov. 30, 2023) – Legacy Health is pleased to announce the election of new trustees to several of its foundation boards.

Legacy Health Foundation

Tara Kinateder is a principal in portfolio management at Ferguson Wellman. Raised in Georgia, Tara earned her B.A. from Brenau University in Gainesville, and certificates from University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of and University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. She is vice chair of Play it Forward, a nonprofit providing musical instruments and lessons to children. She currently serves on the boards of the Dougy Center and the Sexual Assault Resource Center of Oregon.

 

Good Samaritan Foundation

Kandis Brewer Nunn is a veteran of the issues management and communications industry and established Strategic Resources LLC in the early 1990s. Her advisory practice serves non-profit, public and private sector clients with strategic planning, governance, marketing communications, programming and policy matters. To date she has served as chair or a member of 30+ local, regional and national boards, commissions and committees.

James “Jamey” Hampton is the co-founder and artistic director of BodyVox, a contemporary dance and choreography company in Portland. Jamey started BodyVox with his wife, Ashley Roland, in 1997. Along with his siblings, Jamey is the co-owner of Hampton Lumber, one of the country’s largest privately owned timber companies, and an advisor of the Hampton Family Foundation at the Oregon Community Foundation. He currently serves on the board of Portland Opera.

 

Randall Children’s Hospital Foundation

Rama Balasubramanian is Director, Operations and Information Services at Jensen Investment Management where he also serves as chair of its diversity, equity and inclusion committee. He is a member of Oregon State University’s Business Information Systems Program Advisory Council and serves as president of the Exchange Network, a networking organization for those in the wealth and investment management industry.

Tracy Olsen is the Oregon Director of Business Development at Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and is a graduate of University of Oregon. He is an accomplished sales professional with experience spanning from small business ownership to being an executive at a Fortune 125 company. He has served on multiple non-profit boards, business associations and government entities including the Portland Rose Festival and Make-A-Wish Foundation.

John Wendland is serving his second term on Lake Oswego City Council and previously served on the Lake Oswego School Board for eight years. A graduate from Santa Clara University, his career has spanned management positions in retail, wholesale and manufacturing. His other volunteer positions have included Board Chair of Reading Results and President of Village on the Lake Marina Association.

 

Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation

Robb Heisler is one of three managing partners and co-owners of Empire Hospitality, LLC, a nationwide company based in Vancouver that contracts with federal agencies to provide lodging services. They operate in four broad areas: government services, corporate housing, emergency lodging, and business travel. Robb is a specialist in site selection and property acquisition. He also serves on the board of Full Circle Foundation, the company’s private foundation. He previously owned Heisler Capital Group, Inc., where he provided consulting services for investment securities.

Marta Halvorsen is a retired financial advisor for Edward Jones. She opened the firm’s first Vancouver office in 1988. She was named a regional leader in 2007 and became a principal of the firm’s holding company, the Jones Financial Companies, in 2010. Marta served on the Salmon Creek Hospital Foundation Board from 2014-2020, was very active in committees and servd as chair from 2017-2019.

 

Silverton Health Foundation

Jennifer Côté and her family have lived in Silverton since 2000, when an opportunity arose to move their chiropractic business there from Tigard. For the past 11 years Jennifer has been managing the office of Côté Chiropractic. She previously had a career as a flight attendant with Delta Airlines. Raising four children in Silverton, the Côté family has been very active in the community through youth sports, theater, dance and music. Jennifer’s community services includes participation on the budget and planning committees for the City of Silverton and leadership positions in parent-teacher associations.
