PORTLAND, Ore. — Legacy Health is disappointed to announce that we must delay the timeline to welcome patients to the Legacy Mount Hood Family Birth Center.

Earlier this week, we announced our plan to welcome patients beginning June 13. 

Before our announcement, we informed our state government partners who then shared that they were pleased that Legacy would resume labor and delivery services next week to provide essential care for our East County community.

After our announcement, we received new guidance that will require us to delay the timeline.

The Oregon Health Authority on behalf of the Centers of Medicaid and Medicare Services informed us that additional information was needed before they can approve our Family Birth Center plan. After conversations with OHA, we have decided to wait until we have an approved plan before we welcome patients.

We will re-submit our plan today, and our plans to welcome patients will remain on hold until our plan is approved. While we do not have an exact timeline for the approval, we expect it will take at least one week.

We are prepared to safely care for patients at the Family Birth Center as soon as we receive approval.

An interdisciplinary team across the Legacy system worked diligently for two months on staffing and facilities plans to restore essential labor and delivery services for our East County community.

We have scheduled round-the-clock care staffing with certified nurse midwives, supported by obstetrics and gynecology physicians, anesthesiologist physicians and labor and delivery nurses.

We will keep all members of our care teams employed and scheduled as planned and ready to go as soon as we receive the OK from our government partners.

We respect the authority of the Oregon Health Authority and the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services.

We value the partnership with our government agencies to ensure that all Oregonians receive safe, quality health care.

We also want to continue to express our gratitude to our employees, nurses, midwives and doctors at Mount Hood Medical Center and Randall Children’s Hospital for their resilience and dedication to our patients and to each other.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Legacy Health lamenta mucho anunciar que debemos retrasar el cronograma para recibir pacientes en el Centro de Natalidad Familiar de Mount Hood de Legacy.

Al inicio de esta semana, anunciamos nuestro plan de recibir pacientes a partir del 13 de junio. 

Antes de nuestro anuncio, informamos a nuestros socios del gobierno estatal quienes en ese momento expresaron que estaban encantados de que Legacy reanudara los servicios de parto y trabajo de parto la semana próxima para ofrecer una atención esencial para nuestra comunidad del Condado del Este.

Luego de nuestro anuncio, recibimos nuevas pautas que requieren que retrasemos el cronograma.

La Autoridad de Salud de Oregon, en nombre de los Centros de Servicios de Medicare y Medicaid, nos informó que se necesitaba información adicional antes de que pudiera aprobar nuestro plan para el Centro de Natalidad Familiar. Luego de conversaciones con la Autoridad de Salud de Oregon, hemos decidido esperar hasta tener un plan aprobado antes de recibir a los pacientes.

Volveremos a enviar nuestro plan hoy mismo, y nuestros planes de recibir pacientes quedarán temporalmente suspendidos hasta que este se apruebe. Aunque no tenemos un plazo exacto para la aprobación, creemos que llevará por lo menos una semana.

Estamos preparados para atender de forma segura a los pacientes en el Centro de Natalidad Familiar ni bien recibamos la aprobación.

Un equipo interdisciplinario de todo el sistema de Legacy trabajó de forma diligente durante dos meses en los planes para la contratación y para los centros a fin de restaurar los servicios esenciales de parto y trabajo de parto para nuestra comunidad del Condado del Este.

Hemos programado personal para la atención las 24 horas con enfermeras parteras tituladas, con apoyo de médicos de obstetricia y ginecología, anestesistas y enfermeras de parto y trabajo de parto.

Todos los miembros de nuestros equipos de atención continuarán empleados y con sus horarios según lo planificado y listos para presentarse ni bien recibamos la aprobación de nuestros socios del gobierno.

Respetamos la autoridad de la Autoridad de Salud de Oregon y de los Centros de Servicios de Medicare y Medicaid.

Управление здравоохранения штата Орегон (Oregon Health Authority, OHA) от имени Центров обеспечения услуг по программам Medicaid и Medicare (Centers of Medicaid and Medicare Services) сообщило, что для утверждения плана работы нашего семейного родильного центра необходима дополнительная информация. После консультации с OHA мы решили не принимать пациентов до утверждения плана.

Сегодня мы повторно представим наш план для утверждения. До его получения наши планы по приему пациентов откладываются. Мы не знаем точных сроков утверждения и рассчитываем, что это займет не менее одной недели.

Мы готовы начать принимать пациентов в семейный родильный центр сразу после получения утверждения.

Многопрофильная команда компании Legacy в течение двух месяцев активно работала над привлечением персонала и укомплектованием помещений, чтобы возобновить оказание основных услуг по родовспоможению жителям Восточного округа.

Мы разработали графики круглосуточного дежурства сертифицированных медицинских сестер - акушерок при поддержке акушеров-гинекологов, анестезиологов и медсестер родильного отделения.

Все сотрудники центра готовы начать работу в соответствии с планом и графиком сразу после утверждения плана нашими партнерами из правительства штата.

Мы признаем правомочность требований Управления здравоохранения штата Орегон и Центров обеспечения услуг по программам Medicaid и Medicare.
