Good Samaritan Medical Center's Family Birth Center comes off of divert

Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center’s Family Birth Center will return to normal operations on Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 7 a.m.
In the wake of the tragic and senseless violence inside Good Samaritan on July 22, we temporarily put the hospital’s Family Birth Center on divert.
We realize this has caused an inconvenience to our community, and we thank you for your patience as we focus on bolstering our safety plan and working with our people to ensure those plans reflect their concerns.
We will continue to listen to our people, prioritize their voices and increase our safety and security protocols while mourning the loss our security officer, Bobby Smallwood, and supporting those so deeply impacted by this senseless act of gun violence.
