Some answers are best guesses as this appt was to establish with a new PCP after ours left the practice, so this was a "get-to-know-you" visit for all of us. Staff at the Bridgeport office was very understanding and helpful in assuring our needs were met until we could establish with a new doc.

The provider really listened to me which is not always the case when you are a senior. Too often, your concerns are brushed aside and you're treated with condescension.

Both Dr. Monroe and Tanell provide excellent care. They listen and take time during my visits. When I have questions I use My Legacy health portal to ask questions. Dr. Monroe uses the portal and communicates back to me in a timely manner. So appreciate the care I receive.

Dr. Andersen, is retiring at the end of the year. We are very concerned that three other doctors are also leaving and that no new doctors have been hired as yet to replace these four. I left the Portland Clinic as I was unhappy with the lack of interest demonstrated by the primary care physician. She did the absolute minimum.Dr. Anissian was very engaged with me and I felt that she heard my questions and concerns.

I have met this provider in-person once, to establish care and emailed through MyChart once for a referral. I walked away from my initial appointment feeling unsettled and that I may have made a mistake selecting this provider as my PCP. She is capable but I found our exchange confusing, slightly off-putting, and a number of times since I have considered calling to ask if I would be allowed to change providers, but finding anyone to be your PCP is challenging and I want to be sure I haven't made a snap judgment. My second interaction was via MyChart to get a referral. Before writing I did my own research, found a provider, confirmed they were the correct place for my issue, and accepted my insurance. I wrote to my PCP and explained my request, the medical history that led me to need the referral (which was new information to her), gave her the referral-recommended document completion instructions, and asked if she wanted to see me or to just fill it out and notify me. Her response less than 24 hours later was one word, "Done." This is what I mean when I say she is competent. She is conscientious and efficient, which I appreciate, but I would also feel she is rather abrupt and I feel guarded and mildly anxious about anticipating a long-term medical relationship with her.I prefer the interim care provider Legacy assigned me to during the wait period for my first PCP appointment. I met with her a number of times in a short period due illness and injury, but a urgent care branch isn't meant to be a substitute to a PCPs care. But I can't deny that I felt more comfortable with that provider.
