About Me:

Amrita A. Mahesh, DO, MSc, is a transplant nephrologist at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital in Portland, Oregon. She earned her medical degree from Touro University California in 2018. Dr. Mahesh completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico in 2021, followed by a fellowship in General Nephrology at the University of California, San Francisco in 2023. She then pursued specialized training in Transplant Nephrology through a fellowship at the University of California, Davis in 2024. Her professional path is uniquely shaped by her personal experience with kidney failure and transplantation as a young adult, inspiring her dedication to helping other patients navigate similar challenges. She is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and American Society of Transplantation. Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Mahesh enjoys cooking, gardening, and traveling.
