About Me:

Carrie graduated with her BSN from National University in San Diego in 2013 where she trained as a surgical ICU nurse at Sharp Memorial Hospital as part of their new graduate residency program. In 2017 she moved to Portland and worked in the cardiac intensive care unit (CVICU) at OHSU. After spending a year in the CVICU, Carrie developed a strong interest in higher levels of cardiac care, so she joined the cardiac catheterization team at OHSU where she continued to work while studying to become a nurse practitioner. Carrie has experience working with interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure, mechanical support devices, and the structural and congenital patient populations. Additionally, during the six years she spend in the cardiac catheterization lab, Carrie held various leadership roles including charge nurse, unit practice base chair, and implemented a new-to-practice orientation program. Outside of work, Carrie enjoys lifting at the gym, jogging, and trying new recipes.
