About Me:

Dr. Mizuo is a board-certified surgeon in both forefoot and rearfoot/ankle by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Upon completion of his residency at Medstar Georgetown University, Dr. Mizuo commissioned into the United States Navy. He served three years at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina treating the active duty and civilian population with heavy emphasis on sports medicine, trauma, arthroscopy, minimally invasive procedures, and complex forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction. Evidence based medicine and individual circumstances are the main drivers in Dr. Mizuo’s treatment philosophy of personalized care. He believes proper education during the doctor-patient interaction is fundamental in building trust and proper expectations for goals of treatment.
