About Me:

Dr. Karam is a board-certified internist and primary care physician at Legacy Medical Group – Raleigh Hills. He grew up in Louisiana and earned his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University. He earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed both his internship and internal medicine residency at Stanford University. Dr. Karam has been in practice since 2012 as a primary care internist. His interests include all aspects of internal medicine, particularly diabetes care and cardiovascular medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Karam enjoys road biking, hiking, frequenting farmers markets, and playing piano.

Dr. Karam is always attentive and has my health at the forefront. He works very well with my psychiatrist, and I can't imagine a better team to address my healthcare needs.

Dr. Karam devoted considerable time for my appointment, which is a blessing knowing how busy he is. I never felt rushed or ignored -- just the opposite. His thoroughness and attention to detail were very important to me, and I appreciate his thoughtfulness and kindness.

Dr. Karam is prepared; thorough and extremely familiar and knowledgeable, as to who I am, my health history, and is pro active with healthcare concerns. He also listens, and is personable, as well as professional. I'm 66 years old. Dr. Karam is the best physician that my husband and I have ever had. We feel safe, and well cared for. We are fortunate to be in his care.

I absolutely love Dr Karam. He's been my PCP for a few years now and I feel totally at ease with him. He is very knowledgeable and always willing to help with paperwork or anything I need. He goes above and beyond always. It took me a while to find a PCP I was completely at ease with until Dr Karam and I'm very thankful for this.

It was like winning the lottery when Dr. Karim became my families PCP. Very professional and is just an outstanding individual. Courteous, excellent listener, Has a great memory and is on top of all medical history past and present. The reception staff is phenomenal! They are always professional kind and courteous. Phone calls are answered quickly and efficiently. Dr Karam is attentive and addresses all health concerns and preventative medical needs. I never feel rushed or that the doctor is in a hurry. He is very thorough and his assessments and care.

Dr. Karam is very good for someone my age (72). I don't know if he would be suitable for a younger person. Besides, my understanding is that he is not accepting new patients.

Dr Karam was kind and calm, friendly, intelligent, an excellent listener. His med asst was unfriendly and needed to show more interest in her job. I asked what my weight was but she never gave me that info. Maybe she couldn't convert to pounds without the computer. I brought in a list of refill requests and other info but she failed to give it to him. Next time I'll give it to him directly.

I asked for appointment with my doctor. Social worker called back day late. Had to several times press I wanted doctor appointment, not to meet with social worker I had never met. Social worker slowed procces and never returned a call as committed

Dr. Karam was exceptionally up-to-date with my medical history, and remembered me as a person. He impresses me as being very bright, intuitive and personable. I feel very lucky to have a doctor like him, as well as all of the staff at the Raleigh Hills Office.

My visit with Dr. Karam was my new journey with another provider at Legacy. Sadly, Shaun Lan was allowed to leave and I needed a new provider. Dr. Karam came highly recommended by my wife who has seen him when her provider, Jill Hanson was not available. I have had flawless treatment in my 14 years at Legacy across all specialties and am very enthusiastic to be a patient of Dr. Karam.
