About Me:

Kara Liechty is a board-certified clinical nurse specialist who specializes in pain management. Dr Liechty earned a bachelor's degree from University of North Florida. She received her master's for clinical nurse specialist and doctorate in nursing practice from Old Dominion University. she has completed clinical rotations in burn, cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, wound/ostomy and palliative care specialties. She also served as principal investigator in a prospective study examining the impact of self-efficacy enhancing strategies on burn pain. Dr. Liechty is now a medical provider on the interdisciplinary team at Legacy Good Samaritan Pain Management Center where she strives to provide whole-person care that respects patients as co-managers and participants in their care and recovery. Outside of work, Dr Liechty enjoys travel, hiking, staying active and connecting with her family, friends and faith community.

Kara, DNP,CNS was an excellent provider. Her attention to getting the whole picture and her interest in how she could help me with my pain issues was remarkable. She explained everything to me and my husband in great details and helped me explore other options. She also made recommendations to help me manage my pain. I was very pleased with my first visit with her and am confident that I am in the right place. Thank you

Dr Liechty is awesome. She is part of the pain clinic which in itself brings people already frustrated, depressed, or exhausted from chronic pain. She listens thoroughly and is also open if I have questions about medicines or treatments we haven't addressed before. She has really helped me immensely and as someone with chronic pain who happens to be a woman is it rare to find someone who doesn't dismiss or gaslight my health issues.

I would only request that Dr Lechty not be quite so scientific. I know alot about my issues, but don't need to know all the nerve groups etc. It was interesting but not needed or wanted. I wasn't sure how to say it to her. I love her otherwise. Final, overall visit was productive and ended well.
