About Me:

Kate holds a Master of Science with a specialty in Nurse Midwifery from The University of California at San Francisco. She earned her BA in Psychology from Smith College in Massachusetts. Kate has fond memories of going to the hospital with her mother when she was a child to watch her work as a registered nurse. Her mother encouraged her interest in healthcare by inviting her to medical conferences. This, coupled with the opportunity to attend the births of multiple friends and family members as a labor support person, solidified her decision to later become a Nurse Midwife. Kate strives to treat every woman as a unique individual, with respect, compassion, honesty, and humor. As a midwife, she helps guide and support women and families through pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period, providing them with education and information so they can make informed decisions.
