About Me:

Dr. Steele completed his residency with Legacy's Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2010 and has been working as a hospitalist/inpatient physician at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital. He switched to outpatient practice to form more long lasting physician-patient relationships. He believes that building a respectful relationship with patients empowers them to make health decisions and changes that will lead to optimal health. Dr. Steele's hobbies include: golfing, camping, and enjoying time with his wife and two growing daughters. Dr. Steele is not accepting new patients at this time.

It would be nice to be able to schedule the Wellness and/or physical exam in My Chart. Having to call for an appointment is fine but it would be easier for me to do it online.

Dr. Steele helped me with several ongoing concerns and ordered the appropriate blood tests and has already made the needed referrals for follow care for me. It was very reassuring that he listened to my concerns and is helping me to find the proper care and help for my needs.

Dr. Steele is absolutely the best in all respects. My lowest ratings are to do with limiting scheduling to 3 days out. Now I can no longer schedule through MyChart; I've tried many times and was told It works for some people and not others. Now I have to call. Took 2 days of calls to get a day and time that worked. How is this to the patients advantage???? How are people to plan ahead; especially those who work and need to pre-arrange time off???? Having to do scheduling through phone calls is a giant step backwards. And never in my life have I encountered only being able to schedule 3 days out. This makes NO sense at all.

1st visit with Dr n almost declined since it was male dr but VERY glad I didn't. Dr was so great and it me at ease right away. He was up on my previous medical issues, asked & answered all my questions. Very professional but never made me feel as though there was a time clock. 24 hours later I am feeling almost like new. He stepped in when my own primary car dr was unavailable.

I am very happy to have the medical team and Dr. Steele for my provider with Legacy Health. From the first day of being my doctor, I felt comfortable, and trusted him. He is a very patient doctor, that takes the time to listen to my concerns. With the changes in my life with becoming a senior person, he takes the time to hear me out and explain things that are happening. He's like an old friend, very comforting. Some things can be very scary.

Great experience some questions hard to answer because this was my first visit so they didn't apply. I was so impressed with Dr Steele! He made me feel at ease right from the start. Great interpersonal skills, extremely intelligent, great sense of humor and compassion. I was an ED nurse and believe me a physician like this are few and far between. I never felt hurried and felt his approach was a team approach. You should feel ver fortunate to have someone like him in your practice. Tx for asking.

Your new appointment booking system of calling in to get an appointment in the next 1 to 4 days of calling the office is way harder than being able to schedule a month in advance, especially if I am out of town. I don't like this last minute way.

New changes in making appts has punished older patients. We could only call in and be allowed to see our doctor that day or the 2 following. The waiting time on the phone was 18 minutes, only to be turned down for the request for an appt 3 days later. I was told I had to call in, again the next day to be seen in 3 days. No appts can be made in advance for future appts. This is awful.

Dr. Steele is a doctor who pays to the very details of my health issues. He discusses all potential causes and treatments for my health issue. At the end, I have the best option of treatments offered by doctor Steele. He unlike many other doctors I used to have, who would just prescribe medicines to the health issue I brought up.

I was able to get an appointment on the same day that I called the office. I was seen by the doctor soon after arriving. Dr. Steele had reviewed information from my visit to the ER the previous night and was well prepared for me.

I could've gotten in to see a different provider but they don't know my history. IE would suggest I take meds that I can't take due to meds I'm already on or allergic to. Dr. Steele is my go to for my health care needs. I've had him for years and don't want to see any other provider. He's amazing and I have referred him to family and friends.

I have always been handled with care. Doctor always shows his interest in what I have to say. I asked him about a few things on my last appt. HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF ME WITH ANY OF QUESTIONS...just call for an appt. Heath or matters that might need to be address to set my mind at ease...NOTHING LIKE THIS HAS EVER BEEN GIVEN TO ME.

Dr. Steele is an excellent physician. I wish everyone could have a primary care doctor like him. He is always prepared when I visit him, has wonderful ideas on treatment options and explains everything concisely and in a way that is easy for a non-medical person to understand. Perhaps most important he is encouraging and positive. One always feels better just visiting with him.
