About Me:

Dr. Simpson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University followed by a Doctor of Pharmacy degree with honors from Oregon State University/OHSU and finally a medical degree with honors from OHSU. He completed his internal medicine training at the University of California, San Francisco before returning to OHSU to complete fellowships in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology. Dr. Simpson brings expertise in management of coronary artery disease with focus on complex and high-risk coronary interventions. His skillset includes management of chronic total occlusions (CTOs), use of temporary mechanical circulatory support when indicated, and low/ultralow contrast coronary interventions for patients with renal dysfunction. When Dr. Simpson is not caring for patients, he can be found spending time with his family, which includes his wife, daughter, and dog. Together, they enjoy skiing, gardening, golfing, and exploring the outstanding local food scene.
