Dr. Hochenedel is board-certified in internal medicine. He earned a medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans and completed an internship and residency at OHSU. Dr. Hochenedel focuses on preventative medicine. He uses communication and a collaborative approach to personalize care for each patient. He finds the greatest reward of primary care is creating long-term relationships. Outside of work, he enjoys gardening, the outdoors and watching movies. Dr. Hochenedel is not currently taking new patients.

I really appreciated my phone calls being answered promptly, to renew my prescription AND to schedule same day appt for swollen gland that turned out to be strep throat. Dr was new to me but excellent. I thank the staff and dr for prompt attn and antibiotic. They are an excellent team, providing care for us. Thank you!

Dr. Hochenedel is the best. I've been seeing him for years and he is exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and caring. Very thankful to be his patient. His clinical team and the admin team at Westside Internal Medicine are fantastic and have always been prompt, respectful, and helpful. 10/10

I really love that Dr. Hochenedel clearly had reviewed my medical history and records before the appointment. I find this to be the most important thing a provider can do to help them understand the current situation. He has always been very prepared in this regard and I find that to be very unusual in past situations with other providers.

Dr. Hochendel has excellent bed-side manner as a doctor. He's patient and listens well to what I have to say. He always explain things including treatments very clearly. I feel that I'm in good hands with him being my PCP.

Of all my doctors/specialists, Dr. Hochenedel is the doctor whose opinion I most trust. He gives excellent advice, I feel he always has my health and well-being a priority and he is careful with our health - he has caught several significant health problems by sending my husband and/or myself to specialists for further evaluation.
