Wheelchair Seating Clinic/Spinal Cord Injury

Legacy Physical Therapy Services, a department of Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center,  is the premier site in the Northwest for wheelchair and seating system assessments. The clinic is closely associated with the Rehabilitation Insitute of Oregon (RIO).

We are conveniently located on the Legacy Good Samaritan campus in Good Samaritan Building 3 in the lower level.  Wheelchair and van accessible parking is available on the same level for ease of access.

What We Do

We provide wheelchair and seating assessments for first time clients as well as those needing upgrades or revisions. Pressure mapping is available with physician referral.  Assessments include determination of need for wheelchair; style to best-fit client's needs; type of seat cushion; and type of back, neck and head support if needed. We work closely as a team with you, your referring physician, your insurance, and durable medical equipment supplier to best meet your needs.

Our Programs

We are one of two locations in the Northwest with the most experience in doing assessments for the Aspen Seating System and Ride custom cushions and Ride custom backs.

Therapists

Our licensed physical therapists have years of experience and advanced training in wheelchair and seating assessment, fitting and training. Both are ATP (Assistive Technology Professional) certified.
