Four Generations, One Legacy: Aubrey's Family Story

At Legacy Health, we've been honored to be a part of our patients' stories for generations. Aubrey's family is a prime example: it all began with her great-grandmother, Daisy, who was the first to be born at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in 1916. Her grandmother, Judith, was later born in 1940. Her mother, Carrie, was then born in 1961. Aubrey entered the world in 1992, and most recently, on March 26, 2024, she welcomed her baby girl, Sabrina, at Randall Children's Hospital at Legacy Emanuel.

Reflecting on the choice of Randall Children's Hospital for her delivery, Aubrey saw it as a natural continuation of her family's history. For her great-grandmother Daisy, the decision was a medical necessity; for Aubrey's mother, Carrie, it was about the full spectrum of birthing options with the comfort and knowledge of the specialized care that Legacy Women's Services provides. Living in Portland, with strong family ties to the area, Aubrey felt the hospital's recent updates and renovations, along with her familiarity with the Legacy system, made it the perfect choice for her birthing experience.

Aubrey's experience was guided by the exceptional care of the Legacy Medical Group-Midwifery, who provided medical support and a sense of community and belonging. With Legacy Women's Services, she found a perfect balance of traditional wisdom and modern medical expertise, ensuring she felt safe, respected, and nurtured every step of the way.

Now, as Aubrey cherishes the moments with her newborn daughter, she feels proud to continue her family's legacy and to do so with Randall Children's Hospital.
