More information about some of the conditions we treat
Barrett’s esophagus – This represents pre-cancerous changes in the lining of the esophagus that develops in roughly 10% of patients with chronic acid reflux disease (chronic exposure to stomach acid). There is a small but increased chance that this could progress into esophageal cancer, which is why we may recommend an endoscopy screening, and to check patients with Barrett’s periodically.
Celiac disease – Also referred to as gluten-sensitive enteropathy. The condition results in damage to the lining of the small intestine from exposure of the intestinal lining to gluten, a protein that is found mostly in wheat, barley or rye. This can result in a variety of symptoms that can be gastrointestinal (diarrhea, bloating, weight loss) or result from nutritional deficiencies (anemia, bone disease, neurological).
Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis – These are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. These both result in chronic, intermittent inflammation (with resulting symptoms including diarrhea, bleeding, abdominal pain) of various parts of the GI tract: ulcerative colitis involves only the colon, whereas Crohn’s disease may affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract. Both of these disorders can potentially involve organs outside of the GI tract including the skin, liver, eyes, or joints to name a few.
Hernia (Hiatal Hernia) – This results when intra-abdominal contents (most commonly the stomach) protrudes through a defect in the diaphragm and into the chest. This is usually diagnosed incidentally and usually does not cause any symptoms, though there is an association with acid reflux disease.
Jaundice – This refers to a yellowing of the skin or eyes and usually indicates underlying liver disease.
Ulcers – This is damage of the superficial layers of the gastrointestinal tract resulting in injury penetrating to and exposing the deeper layers of tissue. It can involve any site along the GI tract, though most commonly involves the stomach or duodenum (first part of the small intestine) and referred to as peptic ulcer disease, and is most commonly due to H.pylori infection of the stomach or caused by use of medications such as NSAIDs (anti-inflammatory drugs) or aspirin. This can result in gastrointestinal bleeding and abdominal pain among other symptoms.

They are very friendly
I highly recommend Dr. Son Do. He is incredibly smart, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to answer all my questions in detail and provided the right treatment, which made me feel much better. Dr. Do never rushed our appointment and spent ample time listening to my concerns. He also followed up promptly with my blood test results, ensuring I was always kept informed. His medical assistant is equally helpful, managing referrals and scheduling efficiently. I am very grateful for their outstanding care and professionalism!
Good
Overall excellent
Not enough explanation of procedure, why it was necessary and not asking if I had questions. He seemed preoccupied. Spent only 10 mins with me, instead of 15 or 20 minutes. I might get a 2nd opinion, but will keep the initial appt for procedure in September.
My only complaint was when I told the doctor that I use fiber gummy's. He wrote down that I use children's gummy bears when they're actually called fiber well probiotics. I simply forgot what the name was.
Everyone was pleasant and professional
All staff were welcoming, efficient and professional in their jobs.
Doctor was difficult to understand, heavy accen, and my hearing is poor.
I would have liked a more expedited appt as I had pain for weeks
I felt rushed, not really listened to. Dr. Typed while I talked, misunderstood much when read back and needed to correct. I pretty much said what I thought was happening and that meant I needed to get an endoscopy, period, there is no other less invasive way to see if there is a hiatal hernia, no option for help except surgery. Quickly put in front of form to sign off on risks of procedure, questions/concerns made light of. Upon reading visit summary half the examination stating what was done, was not at all the case. Backing out the door as fast as possible, while I'm still asking questions.
The second to the last question answer wrong it was supposed to be an eight instead of before thank you
Waited 3 months for appointment. Doctor was not very helpful with trying to help me.
Very profesionals all team an doctor
I have had a hard time with communication and scheduling appointments I can't correspond through my chart it's difficult to get information or schedule an appointment on the phone or my chart
All personnel very professional
Knowledgeable Easy to understand Personable
I would rate this provider and all staff to be excellent; they all were extremely friendly and helpful.
Dr Do is great. He's a specialist so I only see him when lab results indicate, but every visit he's been all the positive traits we look for in a medical provider.
Receptionist Rieley got me in as a first time patient for an urgent matter the same day when several other clinics were offering appointments a month or more out. Please extend my gratitude to her especially.
Apt schedulers had no knowledge of what they were doing did not understand the importance or urgency of getting an apt. Very frustrating. When asked basic questions about department they worked in they were unable to answer anything.
I could not expect any more from the provider, medical assistants, nursing and reception. Thank you all for your maintainancd of world class and top of the line medical and ethical standads.
Didn't act that interested in my symptoms or appeared he hadn't even looked at the tests I had before this appointment. I felt the appointment was a complete waste of my time.
It takes forever to get into see the doctor.
Everyone at the providers office were clear and concise.
Left appointment more disappointed and stressed due to the lack of empathy and concern for myself and my needs. Very short and minimal explanation. Provider even seemed agitated when I brought up some of the current situation and notes. Was hoping for more clarification and direction but had to ask and drag on the conversation to get any. Overall, I understandable there may not be much he could do for me. Just thought it could have gone better with a more personal approach. Thanks,
The wait time to see Dr Doshi was ridiculous. Of course, that goes with other doctors, vets, etc.
Good
Dr Do was very knowledgable about the reason I had my appointment
When do I get a replacement primary dr
Very kind, caring staff. Very professional, comfortable and clean environment.
Once I rejected the doctor's recommendation for a certain procedure because of my age, he ignored me
Good place to go
