About Me:

Dr. Peter has been practicing in Oregon as a Board-Certified Family Physician since 1993. He is focused on working with patients and motivating them to make positive lifestyle changes. Dr. Peter has received recognition for the quality care he has given his patients with diabetes. In recent years, he has received advanced training in dermoscopy skin examinations and surgery. Dr. Peter looks forward to helping all generations of the family improve their health. Special Interests: Skin abnormalities/cancer detection and surgery, Sports Medicine, Infants and Children, Allergies/Asthma, Arthritis, Healthy Aging Personal Interests: Organic gardening, photography, hiking, jazz trumpet, land and riverside restoration.

Waited for 1 hours to see doc from time or walking in. Had to leave without seeing the doctor due to scheduling conflict

Both my husband and I are extremely happy with Dr. David Peter and his assistant CarrieAnn. We have recommended them to my sister and our daughter. I have never had a doctor pay such attention to my needs. Carrie Ann is the best! I feel like she's my best friend! They are a great team.

Dr Peter is fantastic. When I'm in the exam room he never seems hurried. We always go over each medication I take. He asks pertinent questions and listens to my questions. I feel very fortunate to have found him when we moved here five years ago

I have high blood pressure and on the last 10 years my numbers were always in the 150 range with hypertension. My last 2 doctors prescribed Losarten w/hydrochloride. My new doctor David Peter prescribed Losarten w/potassium, on my recent visit on May13th 2024, my numbers were 132/ 62, what a huge difference. Very pleased with David Peter. My numbers have never been this good.

Since I had to take a medical transport for 200 I was hoping to get a follow up UTI test. But it was refused I had a bad UTI and was in. A care facility and was sent to the emergency room. Just wanted to make it was gone. I was having some symptoms still.

I have never been treated so poorly. I was told by the physician that there were too many red flags and we were not a good fit. Upon leaving I went to my insurance lady and changed back to providence so I could stay with my old provider of 15 years. He told me he would not refill my medications and they would have to be filled by other professionals

Phlebotomy was not great - it took several sticks on each arm to draw my blood. For a first visit, and it also being post-hospital, doctor spent a lot of time with me which I appreciated.

This is the best organized care I have received in my life, however, the waiting lines are clearly getting longer. I am surprised at the wait time to see a dermatologist. I was scheduled for 8 months out. I have at least two skin cancers and a painful mole on my head. Also, I am very disappointed at the response to my request for mental health counseling. To this point, response is ZERO!

As he was wearing a mask, I found it hard to understand what he was saying some what. I hate it when someone is trying to give me important information but the mask makes it hard for me to understand them.

Because the results and recommendations of my blood test directly affected my knee surgery scheduling, I was very anxious to move forward and adjust my supplements to correct low iron and B12. I have been on a shuffling schedule situation beetween doctors since my first symptoms many months ago so needless to say I have been frustrated......all the while getting weaker and worse. I am not sure it is anybody's fault but the process is definitely frustrating.

Although I would love to recommend Dr Peter, I know he is not accepting new patients, so I don't actually recommend him as this just causes issues. I have had a friend try and get in with Dr Peter and he wasn't accepting new patients so she went to another dr in the office and she has not been very satisfied with her relationship with the other dr, she keeps hoping dr Peter will have an opening.
