About Me:

Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Farooqi is a primary care physician at Legacy Medical Group - Cornell Family Medicine. Dr. Farooqi earned her bachelor’s degree at Southern Oregon University and her post-baccalaureate degree at Portland State University. She then went on to receive her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and completed residency in Sacramento, California at Sutter Health Family Medicine Residency Program. Her special interests include women's health, gender affirming healthcare, reproductive health, end of life care, adolescent/teenage healthcare, and minor surgical procedures. She is passionate about taking care of the underserved in her community and welcomes all ages to her practice. Outside of work, Dr. Farooqi enjoys horseback riding, painting, reading, learning how to ski, spending time with friends and family, and singing in her car loudly and badly on her way to work. Her favorite book is Jurassic Park.
