About Me:

Dr. Germaine is a neuroimmunologist that specializes in the treatment of multiple sclerosis (MS) and other demyelinating and autoimmune diseases of the central nervous system. She first developed an interest in the field of neuroimmunology in medical school when a few close friends developed MS, becoming excited about the recent advancements in research, and the positive impact new treatments can have on MS patients. Dr. Germaine completed her medical school training in Oregon at Western University of Health Science, COMP-NW prior to completing neurology residency at University of Connecticut and a MS/Neuroimmunology fellowship at University of Utah. Her prior research was focused on MS related trigeminal neuralgia and hopes to bring larger clinical trials to Legacy Health in the future to introduce new disease modifying therapy options. She additionally gets great satisfaction in providing comprehensive multidisciplinary care to all her neuroimmunology patients.

Dr. Germaine is misinformed on how the practice operates. She told me that I needed to wait until a prior authorization was approved to make my BOTOX appointment. When I called the office 2 weeks later to check on the prior authorization, the office informed me that they do not even start the prior authorization until an appointment is scheduled, so they scheduled me an appointment. Dr. Germaine's inadequate knowledge of how her own practice operates caused me to have many unnecessary migraines due to this delay in care.

Overall, I was very happy with both the staff's conduct and helpfulness, but also with the provider. It was a good experience and I'm, sure I will feel the same after my follow up appointment in six months.

Exceptional Doctor- she has improved my daily life adjusting my medication looking at my entire history and possibly saving my life digging deeper and finding contradictions with existing conditions and other medications that had been previously prescribed, advocating when insurance denied the alternative medicine and gaining approval and entire staff team is excellent too.

Dr Germaine is a wonderful physician and extremely knowledgeable. She explains information clearly and provides options for treatment. I feel included in the plan of care and decision making. I feel so fortunate to be in her care.

The worst part is securing an appt. Now rather than waiting on hold forever on the phone or leaving a vm and having no one call back I just go to office in person to make appt,

It was just a good experience, having to see Dr. Germaine; She had just replaced my last doctor, who retired (Dr. Taher).Although having a new doctor can be troubling, especially with my visit being a follow up to an emergency room visit for a seperated shoulder. But...I was surprised at how pleasant the whole situation was, especiallly with a new doctor. I'm still smiling from the doctor visit with Dr. Germaine.I liked her like I have been seeing her for years, but this was the first time I saw her. Thanks, Dr. Germaine!

I'm not Happy, or understand why I was not able the schedule my next appointment with My Dr. In few months? It doesn't seem right I was not able to now. During my visit.

This was my first appointment with Dr Germaine. . She was well informed about my medical history and had clearly gone over my records. She was efficient and friendly. I am happy to have her as my new neurologist. I have been seen in this practice for 30 years and the staff have always been helpful. The phone system is not as good. Delays in speaking to someone is typical. The call back system does not seem to work well.

It was a great experience on the day of the visit. My experience in getting the appointment was challenging - it took multiple phone calls over multiple months to be allowed to schedule the appointment. I understand that access is a problem and perhaps my situation wasn't deemed "high priority" by whoever decides that, but it was very off putting as a new patient to the specialty. That being said Dr. Germaine Is truly a gift and I so appreciate her time and expertise in trying to help me with my situation.

This provider is a specialist, and it took 3 months to get an appointment. I called several times. I finally got this appointment because of a cancellation. I think I was called, because, I had been calling to make sure I can get an appointment, and was fresh on people's minds.

After onset of double vision in Oct. I thought it would be appropriate to see a neurologist. Even though the PCP referred me my case had to go thru a review board. How come it takes 3 months before you get a Dr, ?

I was SO impressed by Dr. Germain's preparation for my appointment. She knew my past hx so well. She was respectful- listening to my concerns. I have never felt my medical concerns were ever acknowledged and addressed as fully as she did. I felt heard and appreciated she worked to come up with a plan for treatment including me in the process. She won my total trust

This visit went smooth with NO problems at all. It was AWESOME to see Dr. Germaine. Finally, I got to see a doctor that knows more about my health problems then I do. Dr. Germaine knows her practice well, and shows that she wants to provide the absolute best care for me.
