At Legacy Health, we are deeply committed to providing safe, affirming, culturally competent health care services and support to all families.
We are currently offering live webinar-based classes along with e-classes for childbirth, newborn care, and breast/chest feeding basics.
Which option is right for you?
We want to help you build confidence for the big day so you feel prepared. Our online class is facilitated by Legacy Health educators, offering instructive videos, animations, and discussions. Learn what to expect during labor, birth and immediately postpartum and ask questions along the way. Now available in two formats.
In-person classes/events
Childbirth Preparation - Learn what to expect during labor, birth and immediately postpartum
3-week series - weeknights
Class meets for three consecutive weeks; class is 3 hours each week (6 p.m.- 9 p.m.)One Day Saturday Seminar (in person only): 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Locations vary
Class meets for a one-day Saturday seminar; breaks and a no-host lunch break provided
Comfort and Coping for Labor
Can't attend a full childbirth class series or just want a refresher class? This in-person, hands on class is ideal for first or fifth time parents! Learn and practice positions for labor and birth, coping techniques and relaxation to help you prepare for your baby. Practice quick mindful techniques to improve deep relaxation and help make your birth experience better.
Newborn Essentials and Breast/Chest Feeding Basics Saturday Seminar
One Day Saturday Seminar (in person only): 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. - Locations vary
Class meets for a one-day Saturday seminar; breaks and a no-host lunch break provided. We cover the basics of breastfeeding and how to avoid problems early on, including hunger cues and how to calm a fussy baby. Learn hands on skills for diapering, swaddling and develop a plan for life with baby.
Legacy Family Birth Center - in-person tours
We have scheduled tours every month (free!). Learn from our health educators when to go in, where to park, current policies, and ask questions along the way. Baby & Me - group class
We welcome all parents and babies ages 0-12 months! Groups meet in person every week! This event is free to all families.
Virtual/Zoom options

Grandparents Today - virtual (days/times vary)
This live, online course is highly recommended for all grandparents! Whether you live near or far away from your grandbabies, this class will help you explore ways to welcome your grandchildren and support your children becoming parents. The class duration is 2.5 hours.

Learn the basics of newborn care and breast/chest feeding in this condensed online class. The class duration is 2.5 hours.
